Baseball games are supposed to be fun, right? I got tickets to bring my son.Popcorn, soda and an easy day in the sun, but then I saw him.But Surprise! There’s Michael. His last name is Irons. He plays major leagues and he’s the father of my son.Every instinct told me to take our boy and run. I hadn’t known his name or how to get in touch with him the past six years. Now not only does he see me in the stand, it takes him a glance at my boy and he knows the truth. It was like fate brought us to this point, but he climbed into the fan benches to talk and flirt.I told myself it was just about our son, but alone, our conversations are getting heated. I didn’t expect our magical memory would be burned in his brain. Or he’d want me again. All I wanted was a quiet life to raise my son. Ball players are dangerous. But what happens when the season ends? Let me tell you the truth… I never expected what actually happened.
Book Rocking Player: Single Mom Second Chance Romance (Steel Series Book 1) Review :
Editing. Editing. Editing. Editing.I am so disappointed with this book I'm actually upset I paid a dollar and some change for it. I'm not even half way through the book and I'm annoyed. I basically skipped to the end just to write this review.Georgiana met Michael Irons 7 years ago in the Bahamas. Rushing back home to the side of her Mother as her dad became ill. Georgia realizes she's pregnant with no way to contact Michael. Years later Georgia attends a baseball game with her son where she discovers the father of her child. This book is disappointing for me because the plot was very good and when I started reading I realized how much of a let down it was. I really wanted to like it, but I'm struggling to get through the rest of the book. It's feels very boring and monotoned. The editing is killing me because at one point Michael is sitting down, but then he's stepping closer to her, but he pulls her to him as they're sitting. Did he stand up and then sit down again? We don't know, the story just continues with more inconsistencies. The transitions are sloppy if there are any. The repeated "I'd" gets old real fast and this format of conversation:I sat on his lap and said "let's have breakfast." He gently touches my face and said "let's go." This is an example of how the dialogue is formatted and the "he said" and "and said" repeated over and over in every conversation is tiring. Please give this book a fighting chance by reviewing and re-editing it. I wanted to like it but I can barely finish it. I'm struggling to get through it because I'm incapable of not finishing a book I've started. But I'm having to push myself for the sake of getting to the end of this book. Until this book is overhauled of revamped I can't say i'd recommend reading it.
This book was literally ridiculous. I kept hoping it would get better, so I kept reading but honestly, I should’ve just given up like 7 minutes in when I first had the thought. The same things kept getting repeated over and over again, like the reader suddenly forgot what you said 5 sentences ago. Then you want to keep yourself from falling in love because you are afraid of losing yourself like your mom did and that’s pretty much the main issue the entire book but then it all just occurred to you at the end with no prompting or event to trigger it that your mom was actually stronger than you thought and now it’s all suddenly okay? Yeah, not buying it. Sounds like some amateur FanFiction that was not only written but also edited poorly. Thumbs down, 1 star, do not collect $200. I wish I could get part of my day off back
